Caring and qualified service when you need it most

At Marsden House our profession gives us the privilege of supporting family and friends at a time of death with dignity and understanding. We have been offering this tradition of professional care to the people of the Nelson region for the past 150 years.

Grieving is a natural part of the healing process following the death of a loved one. Family and friends need time to express grief, and support one another.

The funeral service has a therapeutic value that should not be underestimated.

It is the first important step towards working through grief.
It allows the legal, reverent and hygienic burial or cremation of the person who has died.
It is the opportunity for family and friends to publicly express their love and respect for the deceased and formally say farewell.

We are proud to have been elected to membership of the international organisation Selected Independent Funeral Homes - an invitation extended only to those firms that have achieved the highest standard of service and integrity. We are also members of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand Inc. (FDANZ) - your guarantee of professional integrity, skill, compassion and service.
